Sabbath Evening July 10th. 64 This has been no Sabbath to me, last night we received orders to be ready to move at any moment and early this morning Six companies of our regiment moved across the river and encamped just west of the fort on an old field - The land is so near worn out that it will not raise black berries and ground is awful poor that will not do that - We now are so situated that if we are attact we can retire into the fort and defend ourselves
