Sabbath July 31st. 1864 - Today we received the word of the death of another of our Company - Charles S Blake one of the recruits which Cap Crowder brought none of the Burlington boys have died and I hope none will - Yesterday we were on duty at the state line bridge had a good time but it rained in the evening. and we expected an attact - but it did not come - This morning there was service in the camp but I was asleep and did not go - This afternoon Dould and my self walked up to the depot and saw a train pass - there were about 20
