contrabands waiting to go to Memphis - Our regment has sent more of them to freedom than any reg. which has ever been here - Gen. Hatch stated today that we were doing more good than any other one hundred day reg. in the service - I tell you the Slaves and Horses and Mules come up missing. Yesterday I received a letter from Sister Jennie - Today I received a letter from Sully in behalf of the Ebinezer S. S. It was a good letter We have thirty two days yet to serve - Think we will stay here about three weeks -
