Here some negroes wanted to come to camp and after a long search the mules were found secreted in the woods and the horses in the opposite direction from the house they supposed that a co. would not be likely to find both miles and horses but Co "G" found them easily and took the whole of them 4 mules and 3 horses. the old gentleman and ladies wept considerably at the loss of one of their favorite horse
