Tuesday Dec. 9, 1941 Dear People: Just time for a brief note. First, thanks for the slippers, gym suit, etc, & for your letters. It may be that the war will curtail our Xmas leave. If so I probably will want you to send some other things. Will let you know some time in the next few days. Everything is going fine. Ken & I got our lockers today, also,our permanent bunks. It should be more comfortable living from now on. We have been to radio & trig classes twice These two courses constitute the more difficult part of ground school at this base. From what I have thus far encountered I do not anticipate too much trouble with either.
