24th Went ashore early and marched to the Barracks near the depot, a miserable hole, and were put under guard. Guards couldn't hold us and we went out pretty much as we pleased. Staid all night in the barracks. 25th The Col. run us in the cars at 7 without our breakfast for which he rec'd a series of curses behind his back. We find him the same old "Masi". Got along finely
