December, The 29, 1864 Dear Father & Mother & Sister It is with the gratest of plesure that I Sat don to let you know that I am well and I hope that those fue lins may find you the Same. I hant hurd from you for Som time but I hope that I will here from you Soon. we hant had Male only twice Sents we Came here. the boats jest begin to Com in here know and I think that we will git our Male More ragelar but it takes the latters to Com good whale tha hafto go to new york and from thur here So. I think it takes the latter at least 10 or 12 days to go to Iowa ore here. I think that we will Stay here at this place for a
