November Nov 10th all quiet in camp [ditto] 11th went on piquet heard our piqets converse with the rebel piquets accross the river [ditto] 12th all quiet 13th. all quiet. 14th the regt fell in 12 1/2 AM marched down the river 5 miles came back & packed up marched to Lenoir then back down the river lay there all night. 15th came back to Lenoir lay there all night. 16th. retreted to Camelsville made a stand & fought the enemy regt. lost 7 killed & 24 wounded
