TUESDAY, JANUARY 19, 1864. Pleasant time reading "Edwin of Diara" Went with M- to see Gen' Tom Thumb & his Troupe. More cheerful than few days before. The moonlight walk, long to be remembered. WEDNESDAY 20 A letter from - came this morning like a blight. Spent the evening sewing. Read some time at the Library, but was not as much interested as usual. THURSDAY 21 Very busy in the office till late. M- overtook me on the way home, & we had a pleasant walk & talk. Enjoyed evening meeting exceedingly.
