TUESDAY, MARCH 1, 1864. Went to Mt. P. Called with Mollie K- at Mr. Briggs. Dr. [Jocelyn?]and found them sound. Bro Ingalls promised to take our work in hand. At prayer meeting in this dear old college WEDNESDAY 2 Saw our affairs fairly underway & started for Middletown. Had a very pleasant afternoon at Mr Levins. Was very much tired on learning that Mrs H- was doing all she could against the Orphan Asylum. THURSDAY 3 Finished up what writing I had to do & spent the rest of the day in reading the Atlantic Monthly."
