THURSDAY, MARCH 10, 1864. The brightes part of the day was M-s coming though only here a moment. Very busy with the writing I must do before I go home. Went to the Hotel to board. FRIDAY 11 Read "Margaret Howth" Spent all the day after two o'clock writing Orphan Asylum and Sanitary letters. Disappointed in not seeing M. Evening reading the Kinche [books?]. SATURDAY 12 Very busy writing until dark. Read "In War Time" during the evening, and found it rest after the toil of the day.
