MONDAY, MARCH 28, 1864. Read in the Independent, and Atlantic all morning. Met Mollie H- at the cars. Stayed with her in the afternoon Evening answered B-s long letter. TUESDAY 29 Spent the morning reading. Took the Steamer at one for Davenport. Mollie and Mrs Darwin were on and we had a pleasant trip. WEDNESDAY 30 Arrived at Davenport soon after day light. Went to Mrs Porters end enjoyed the visit. All day in the Orphans Home meeting.
