THURSDAY, MARCH 31, 1864 Another meeting of the Board to day. Will go on with the Home immediately. Mrs P- very kind. Heard Mrs Darwins address at night FRIDAY, APRIL 1 Left Davenport this morning. Had a fine view of the country from the Pilot House. Spent the evening writing with Mrs M-. Met Mr. Clement. SATURDAY 2 First spring day. Got in soon after day light to Col Trialls. The week is gone, and little reading done. Home thoughts haunt me.
