Wednesday, April 27, 1864. Most of the day in the Schoolroom. Tea at Mrs. Williams Organized Literary Soc' evening. Letter from Judge Cole. M- looked very sad, must be in trouble Thursday 28 Silent in School. Reading from Ingelow again. All the evening spent making arrangements for Orphan Asylum meeting. Friday 29 Brother enlisted in the hundred days service. At war meeting this evening Sebum walked home with me & had a good talk.
