MONDAY, MAY 9, 1864. Writing forenoon. Read to Mrs. D- afternoon. Evening in the parlor with Susie and Libbie. Long restlessly to be in the field. TUESDAY 10 Very busy all day writing. Ortus and M- spent evening with us. Very pleasant and unusually interesting to me. WEDNESDAY 11 Three [love?] letters from Manda, at Chattanooga. Evening at Mrs Coulters. Good walk and talk with M and S and Libbie.
