SUNDAY, MAY 15, 1864. Sad but trusting all day. Good sermon but better class. Spent the evening in quiet musings thoughts too sacred to record. Monday 16 Wrote some. Veteran Reception after mid-night. Long nice walk with M - Enjoyed the night watch for the Soldiers exceedingly. TUESDAY 17 Slept till noon. Writing and reading until one. Ortus & Susie spent the evening with us.
