FRIDAY, JULY 8, 1864. Louisville Ky. How strange it seems to be here, with Manda. Mrs. N- gone. Tired with my journey. SATURDAY 9 Wrote some, but spent most of the day talking with Manda. Terribly warm here Poor Soldiers!. I pity them SUNDAY 10 Spent most of this day reading. To church in the evening. Can hardly wait to get to work in the hospital.
