WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 31, 1864. Made the ascent of Lookout Mountain today. Mrs. W- & Lieut D- for company. No words can portray the enjoyment of the immense scene spread THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 1 out before us. Wheeler has broke the R Road & we may be detained here some time. Invitation from [larry?] S- to g on the [Mt?] tomorrow FRIDAY 2 One of the most delightful days spent on Lookout Mt' with Dr Sallis. Found the Dr excellent company. Ride very nice.
