SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 24, 1864. A letter from Manda informing me of the serious illness of our darling Brother. Have been crying to God in his behalf. SUNDAY 25 Spent in the usual way with the addition of more reading the Bible & earnest prayer. Church at night. First time for months. MONDAY 26 Have read the Talisman and like it as well as any of the Travelogs I have read. If I could only hear from home
