FRIDAY, DECEMBER 2, 1864 Mrs F came today. Rebels nearer but no one feels alarmed. Eve- in the reading room. Warm bright days are [Come?]. SATURDAY 3 "The winters are drifting like flakes of snow". How rapidly this one goes.. The days are not half long enough. SUNDAY 4 Almost sick with a cold. Afternoon in the house looking at the shelling of the rebel lines.
