but they have taken the choolhouse so far from us that I cant walk thare and back with out it is verry good walking I am not sick but I feal less able to acomplish any thing than ever I did before I am lame and give out easy. we dont hear from the east often you must write to John he is thare alone oh how I want to see you all I know you are surounde with every thing to lead you astray but trust in the Lord he is able to bring you off conqurer and to peserve you blameles at his apearing may this be the hapy lot of us all is my sincere prayer farewell from your ever affectionate mother Betsey Mead to James H Mead good by
