2 I have a box of shells ready to mail to Adda & if they go all right I may send some more in the same way. We killed a huge Saw Fish in the lagoon the other day (I believe it was after I had written my last letter) He measured 11 feet 9.1/2 inches from the point of his saw to the end of his tail & was a real leviathan. He created a good deal of excitement. There were a good many out trying to kill him but they were pretty shy of him, - though they did not know what it was, and well they might be. He had gotten in to shoal water some way (I can't think how unless he came in with the Norther & high tide which had been prevailing & which went off very suddenly,) & did not know the way out. If he had been in deep water he could have managed the whole of us. Lt Adamson & I have the honor of shooting him in the head with a couple of Minnies which so disabled him that we were able to drag him to shore
