Hilton April 18th 1865 Dear Friend I have seated my self to drop a few lines to you to let you know that I have not forgoten you. I came down from Kosta to day but while I was there it was imposible almost to try to write. The folks are all well at Kosta. And your folks are all well with the exception of Addie and she is some better. It has been a lovely day. We have had a very backward spring, but think we will have nice weather now. Your folks are done sowing their wheat and barley. they sowed over 20 acres of wheat and barley but they have not got their oats sowed yet
