photographs, I thought, they must be the pictures of some of your lady acquaintences, though I thought they & you looked some what alike. I think they are all poorly taken. I would not give my old Ambrotype for a dozen of them. That looks natural & they don't. I have it in a new case now & the picture is as good as ever. I guess I won't wait to bring those pictures back myself for you might get tired of waiting. The colored troops are not a going to be mustered out now - we may have to drive the "Frog eaters" off before we go home; to stay at any rate. I have nothing more of interrest to write so as I do not feel much like writing to night I will close. So Fare Well. Write oft'. Yours Truly J.H.Mead.
