off, much to the disgust of all the men. We dont want their slaves, and an order should be issued to prevent their coming along. Guerillas are becoming more numerous as we advance. Several Cotton Gins and presses are burned during the day. Forage quite plenty much of it being wasted which is wrong. All the boys express a determination not to be taken alive by Guerillas as they have shown a cruel disposition to murder all they catch. The 89" man was shot twice after he gave up and was left for dead.
