sunday, burned the Depot &c. Our Cavalry did well to day killing 23 of the enemy and losing only 10. They whipped Wheeler completely and came near capturing him, Kill was in high glee over his success, Wont soon forget the looks the "fair maides" of W - gave us as we passed through. The "Johnnies" had begun repairing the damage "Kill" did when up here before. 5" Started early and made the steadiest march of the campaign going 12 miles by noon, then marching 8 miles further
