Our whole corps is on this road and we in the rear today. [? code?] 7th. Started out rather late and made poor time. Passed over a mean country crossing several big swamps Wheeler coming up after us and driving "Old Kill" right before him. A 5 PM we camped in the edge of a swamp and threw up breastworks, and got orders to move in two hours, (Vertically, at left:-) Rain all day. Days march 14 m.
