Savannah, Wheeler does not follow us to-day he not being able to cross the creek which we did yesterdy. Drew a days ration of Crackers An expedition went out for potatoes and were stampeded by 50 rebels. 10th Our 2" Div had quite a battle yesterday 12 miles from S the Johnnies occupying a little part in rear of some felled timber They whipped them & took their guns, (3) and 30 men, Our Brig in rear and moved out on the main road. halted after going 1 1/2 miles got dinner Started again at 3 and halted 11 miles from S - and went into camp having marched 6 miles, The
