24th.. Nothing transpiring worthy of notice, In the evening the boys in 2nd Div began shooting Christmas eve and it was taken up through the whole corps. A volley and accompanying yell. sounded much like skirmishing, and the 17" Corps fell in formed line and were under arms nearly all night. Quite a joke on Granny Blair. 25" Went to the city and visited the most important streets, the landing &c. Saw the Pulaski monument
