March 31st. 1849 Dr B. Dear Sir I have neglected writing for some time but as sircumstances require it I will write a few lines on our mater I Borrowed fifty dollars of Masons C Waits money I got it of Wm Wait and gave M C Wait an order on you I want you to axcept the order if possible as I assured him you would pay it I hope you will do so I have ove one hundred and thirty dollars in Silver and gold I think that land can be held give your self no uneasiness about the money in my hands Say to our people that I am not very well and havent been for a few days I commenced thrashing last monday and worked rather hard caught could and have Been [Squirting tory?] the Ague ever since I will send for some dope this evening My wheat was first rate and turnd out well I had 226 bushels and it saved complete I will attend to geting Some flowerd and Send Some down as Soon as we get Spring wheat Sowed
