New Albany Dec the 22.1850. Dear Mary It is with pleasure that I attempt to write to you though I must confes that I have broke my promice but I have had so mutch to do that I have had no time to write but it is raining to hard for me to go to church to day and I thaut it wood be a good opportunity to write to you and I will try to write to aunt Sarah to. I have ben well ever since I saw you and hope that you and yours are enjoying the same blesing. Christmas is near at hand I wish I could come and eat Christmas supper with you in your new home you tell John and Sary Ann that this leter is to them to and that they must answer it when you or the doctor writes to me. I had a letor from Eliza Bowman soon after I came home but I have not had any other from thare. we are living at Sarah Caseys yet our house in not quite ready to live in yet they are painting it now and as soon as the sistron is done we will have a hous to live in I wish we could get in it by new year but he thinks we had beter board till spring for evry thing is quite dear but flour - aunt Satina has got plenty of room to keep clean now. Jo was in such a hurry to see the boots that John sent him that he could hardly stand still.
