Sheffield Oct 31st. 1862 Dear Father:- We rec'd your letter of the 28 inst. to night, and were right glad to hear the much news you wrote particularly that you were well after hearing that you were rather unwell. You were told in our last that Aunt Sarah was here tomorrow we take her to Springfield, She will probibly visit us again after Uncle Arba comes We will have more news to write soon. The next time you see Morton or Theodore tell them, they must write to me with out fail. Mary is quite well so I think your prescription will not be needed I will get the fodder down to Conneaut soon ie before bad weather If you get a place for me it will of course be a place for which I am prepared to fill, but if you should not get a place I think there will be nothing lost as I can spend my time in School and be better prepared when I sould get a situation Enclosed you will find a letter from Ed W rec'd to day Yours John V Bean A.A.
