Now if you have no objections, & I hope you have not, if he does not pay in a reasonable length of time, I will leave the note for collecttion. I told him that, that was the first place where I had found any hard feeling & I hoped to get along with him without trouble. H. Wyeth (is a case I should think) says he thinks he paid but if we can make remember that it is not paid he will pay Edward Bousington is a gentleman he thinks he has paid $20. There is only $15 endorsed on the note Wm. Douglas promises money about the 1st of April I think I can make pretty good wages collecting If you need money we can send you some. If you will tell the particulars in regard to O. Hall's notes I think I can get a settlement. Also with regard to Geo. Hall's note I think I can get some pay on it Respectfully John V.Bean Britt workes in More's mill this winter Mr Messrs Sturgess, H Braynerd, Lilly, Colegrove are quite anxious for their accts Received yours of the 20th soon after the above was written hope your health is improving will be glad to see you all are well. Satturday morning Steve Nortorn came & called for you said he thoughed you had got home J.V.B.
