Sheffield Jan 8th 1863 Dear Father I wrote you a letter last Monday the eight. and sent it with Mothers. I am staying at home becaus I under toock to skin a skunk. and they all laught at me thay sed that I smellt of the skunk but I could not smell it. I am sudy Grammer and Geography. I have got so that I can annalise some. will you let me come out whare you are and I I will bring my school books and study if y you will let me. and then I will be company to you. Mary went to the festabel with John Gage.
