Sheffield Jan.15th.1863 Dear Father Yours of the 10th inst was received to day & I enclose $10,00 which will leave $40.00 on my hands will send some more soon if you wish. S.J.Gage declines to take any pennsylvania money says that he does not want to use it. & would not consider himself safe with it on his hands will not charge any more int on the money on acct & that is all the kind of money I have. I think that when I am in in Conneaut again I will pay some to Fenton & Kline unless you wish otherwise. There is a great deal of Penn. money afloat & probaly if the Banks are compelled to make specil payments a great many will go down. There is a great snow storm to day & if it freezes we can move to Conneaut the first of next week. We are glad to hear that your health is improving: all well Yours Affectionaly John V.
