Sheffield 16th. Jan.1863 Dear Father: We recieved your letter of the 10th inst requesting some money I immediately enclosed $10,00 and for warded to your old address as you requested us to send $5 or 10 Dollars I thought it best to send $10 will send more if requested as soon as we hear from you again. Your letter of the 12th announcing your change of place was not received untill the the letter with money was mailed. Hope your change of place will be agreeable to your comfort and happiness; and not prejuditial to your health. It has snowed for the greater part of 2 days & one night and is still snowing very hard. with the snow about 18 inches deep it being the snow storm of the season - John Bean
