Conneaut Jan 30th.1863 Dear Father: Yours of the 22nd, mailed the 24th., was received last night it being five days on the rout, which is as quick time, as any letters have made coming from Frederick to us. Probably ere this you have received the letter from me notifying you of our sending 20 dollars by express and also the receipt for the same there was 75 cents. paid on it As in your last letter you requested us to send $30 by express, & having already sent 10 I sent 20 which was all I could spare untill the stock is replenished The expenses incidental to James is most a man he goes to school the Accadmey I expect he will be as big as his father in 3 or 4 years
