Merrill is 1st. leut. in the 1.2.5th regiment & is now I believe in Louisville I think with you that it would have been best to have come here last fall & then we could have had the benefits of the winters schoo It is rather expenseive living now adays, cord wood is from $3 to 4 a cord, hay $12 per ton corn 40 cts
