while I was in Cincinnati I improved finely, weather fine; & Eating fare to match. Verry warm Monday Evening when I Left, Cincinnati next Morning Cool or Rather, Cold & continued Either Cold or Rainy Most of the way Down. I. think the weather Moderated 24 hours before we arrived at Youngs point - the chilly atmosphere Kept Me from Exercising in the Open Air & consequently, I, have Gained but Little Since I Left Cincinati - I cannot tell Yet Exactly how I am to Succeed in this Enterprize one Thing Certain Time will Determine that; Misirable place this to get anything fit for Me to Eat. Still I, think there will be a change hope for the Better Cannot be much worse - were I well all would be Right but now it is Verry wrong not any Milk not any Butter Potatoes once or twice pr week - Sweet Potatoes are Good & Abundant in this Division but not in this Regement I had Some Fried the Morning of Landing here but not since I came to this Regiment - I am kindly treated
