Milligans Bend March 23d 63. To the Anxious ones at Home. I, am here able to attd to all professional Duties which properly belong to The post, I, occupy but Mental Exercise outside of My Duties in Camp & Hospital are not To, be Endured by this Head & Body, in its Present condition; conseque_ You need not Look for any history of The War or, any Thing of That Sort from, Me, The Published news, of The Day You have access to, I, have not any Such Except that about, 10 to 14 Days old. In the course of 1 or 2 weeks I shall Expect to hear from Home. April 3d I have been qiute Sick for 3 Days unable to do any Business; & I am not going to Do any More business untill I am considerably better.. It is is said we are under Marching orders when to move or where I Know not; one Thing certain, I, shall not be fit for Duty for some Weeks, not for heavy Duty in 2 months & not at all unless I have Cows Milk to use; as an article of Diet. I can Eat cabbage & potatoes & Onions cooked in the Ruffest form; To Sustain Life - most here Relish it well
