I heard that you had enlisted because I thought your constitution was not strong enough to warrant such an undertaking I hear that your health is poor now John writes that they hope a southern climate will improve it but I think it a great mistake people labour under I would go north west as far as Superior before I would south if I could help it If I were you I would get my discharg as soon as possible, if you do, come right to Minnesota and recruit you shall have all the comforts and some of the luxuries of life, there is no mistake but it is a healthy climate and the winters are not so very tedious I feel so anxious that I suppose I say more than is necesary I have
