If our country is restored, as I have no dout it will be, it may be well to leave them where they are, and at some future time do what you can, to raise some monument to him there. Here all who have attempted to remove their friends, have regreted it, and [so] advise the course I have suggested. Give my best respects to your mother and the family. I hope that God will bless you all, and be a Father to you who are fatherless. Yours truly. T.W.Powell
