amount of men uncle Sam has got and when I get tired of setting up there I clime down and take a walk around and amongst them just to see how they have been raised and I find about as many different kinds of amusements as there is men. there is fiddleing, dancing, singing of all kinds, card playing, bible reading, novel reading, stump speeching, foot races, and every other kind of amusements that could be thought of all going on at the same time. besides drilling and doing up the house work we have not drilled much yet. about an hour or two every day is all that we have drilled yet and as for cooking we have had that done for us. on the account of not having things fixed so that we could do our own cooking untill now we have got our camp kettles and such things now so we will have
