Camp 6th.,Iowa Grand Junction.Tenn March 2nd..1863 Dear Brother I seat myself this morning in order to answer your letter of Feb 25th.. which came to hand yesterday. I am glad to hear of your getting around again. I know what it is to be sick in the Army though I have never experienced much of it myself. It has only been afew days since I heard of your being sick then I couldnt hear whether you were at Helena or where you were. I received one letter from you after you arrived at Helena, and answered it. that was directly after you had landed there. that was the last from you till yesterday. I got aletter day before yesterday from Jane she told me where you were. She says the folks at home are all well. you said John Hiteman was with you but was not improving much. I am sorry to hear it for John has always been agood soldier. tell him
