Tuesday May 1st 1928 had letters from Lydia, Winnie & Paul Whetstone. Went to look at rooms. Then up to bank and to see about another table. Mrs Doyle and I to see "Rose Marie" in afternoon. Got letter from Ida and Will Work. I wrote W B Mc--- after supper, Mailed the letter as I was going out to Rhinds reception. Eleanor & Ida brought me home. I wrote Winnie and read till Mary came to take me to The Station to meet Ott, Fannie & Hattie. Rob & Cora there for Hattie. Wednesday May 2nd 1928 Another letter from Lydia. She tells me Harry Foster died suddenly yesterday. I went up to The Church to lunch and meeting. Did some errands on the way back. Was at Trinity church to Union meeting. Then to see May Morrow who is ill. Read some, went to bed early. Thursday May 3rd 1928 I was busy part of the day doing cleaning. Weather very warm. Wrote Ida. Hattie came for supper and Elmer & Ida took us to prayer meeting. We took Hattie home. Friday May 4th 1928 I went up town to get a hat. Some after dinner Mary & Fannie came to take me to Cedar Rapids. pleasant ride. I got my supper and wrote Lydia. weather cooler. Saturday May 5th 1928 I did not try to go out my feet hurt me so. I did some cooking and sewing. Slept awhile in PM. Hattie & Cora called. I red in evening. A pleasant spring day.
