Friday, April 28, 1865. Reached Roanoke I. at noon today. Could find nothing to eat and had to do without our dinners. Afternon the sound was very rough. Miss M- & and Manda were very sea-sick. Evening the soldiers sang beautifully for us. closed with "Praise God from &c This trip is rather expensive but we are enjoying it more than we can express.
