39th Friday April 3rd 1874 Hattie ironed in the forenoon. I sewed all the time I had, and just before dinner I wrote to Charlie. In the afternoon I took my work and went over to see Mollie Folsom. Did not come home till nearly night. I sewed all the evening. Do not feel at all well. Weather still cold. Saturday April 4th 1874. I helped some about the house-work and baking this forenoon. This morning Ott and Lee went to the valley to spend the day and Mollie Stevens went home. I sewed what time I had today and till quite late in the evening. Jim Folsom and Frank Fletcher were both here in the evening and every body played cards. Owen did not get home this evening. Weather still bleak and cold. Sunday April 5th 1874. I was sick all day. Snow in the morning. Winnie took Hattie to the valley, did not get back till night. I wrote to Charlie. Owen did not get home.
