her wait on the supper tale. Anna Kirkpatrick was there with Mrs Moore. It was a very pleasant party. We came home before it was late. Wednesday September 2nd 1896 I was buys most of the forenoon with the dinner. Will hauled corn but after dinner hitched to the Surry and took us over home. I went with Hatt, Bird & Fanny over to Halsons to a six oclock dinner Will ate supper at home and came on over there for me. Laura stayed at Mathews as she starts for home in the morning. It was very dark coming home. Thursday September 3rd 1896 I was buys about the work all forenoon and Will took me over to Fannys to spend the afternoon. The Stevens girls were there. I had a nice afternoon. The Mason girls got started home this forenoon. weather pleasanter Friday September 4th 1896 I did a little sewing this morning and picked the tomatoes. Will went to town for the coal for his threshing. I canned tomatoes and made apple preserves in the afternoon. I read in the evening. rained slightly today. Saturday September 5th 1896 I worked all forenoon with the baking &c. We went to town after dinner. I was about town most of the afternoon. saw the girls from the valley. Went over home to bud Bird good-by and she had gone to the depot. We met Aunt Em and Mr Whitaker. They were married down at Anna Dentons a few days ago.
