March, SUNDAY, 23, 1862. This is a plesant day but very muddy there is nothing goes on here of a Sunday but Church. I went to Sabath School this morning and then went to hear Bishop Lee the Episcopalian Minister Preach from there I went to the first U.P. Church to attend the Funeral servises of Mr Mailey who was killed in the Battle at Ft Donaldson then I went to hear Bishop Lee Preach again and in the evening I went to hear Mr Shearer in the O.S. Presbyterian Church He gave us a spendid sermon, It was very dark and the mud so deep we could hardly get home...
