H'd Qrs. "7" Iowas Veteran Inft Vol" Adjutants Office Prospect Tenn April 3d. 1864 Dear Lide: It is Sunday again, and as I am through with my work for the day, I will endevor to fulfull my promise to you. I recived your welcom letter & the picture Last Sunday Evening Just after I had mailed my letter to you. I also received your Kinde letter of the 13" ult. this morning "via" Memphis. Pleas Send your letters in the future via Nashville Tenn. and I think they will come more direct. I think your Picture is excellant it could not be better, but mind you I am to have a Photograph also. when you have them taken be sure to Send me one, but pleas do not have them taken full Size I do not think they are as nice as the other Kinde. I have nothing in the way of news for you to day every thing is Jogging along after the old Style, you Know that when an army is not on the march that it must certainly be verry dull. I have not heard anything more about our being transferred to the Potomac and hope it is not so. I would like to help take Richmen but I think the trip would be a hard one so do not wish to try it,
